let the number of flowers be y
And number of honeybees be x
the pair of linear equations are:-
1)2y + 1 = x -----------(1)
2)x = 3y ------------(2)
So ,
now putting the value of (2) in (1) we get
2y +1 = 3y
=> 3y-2y = 1
=>y=1
now
x= 3y = 3(1)= 3
therefore
honeybees= 3
flowers = 1

Dp849: Can u explain it
maria9: see if 2 honeybees sit on each flowers then no of honeybees on flower will be( flowers x 2)ie 2y
maria9: And one is left out so +1
maria9: therefore total honeybees= 2y+1
maria9: 2nd one , flower= 3(honeybees)
Dp849: K thank u
maria9: welcome
