What is the meaning of exosmosis?

exosmosis means a passage of fluid through a semipermeable membrane towards a solution of lower concentration especially the passage of water through a cell membrane into the surrounding medium

Exmosis is the osmotic exit of water from a cell or system due to presence of hypertonic solution on the outside.
