Gross Physiological Processes

Gross physiological processes include all the physico-chemical processes that are responsible for maintaining the internal balance - homeostasis - of the body.

They include include growth, digestion, excretion, immunity, memory,  etc.

  • Physiology is a science that studies how organism(s) function.
  • The basic physiological processes in a living organism are metabolism, differentiation, growth, respiration, digestion, and excretion, responsiveness, movements, reproduction, etc.
