ANSWER :-

The differences between the mons pubis, the labia majora, the labia minora, and the clitoris are listed below :-

Mons Pubis :-

  • This refers to the part above the plane where the labia exist.
  • This part is generally soft and cushiony due to presence of high amounts of fat under the skin.
  • This part is also generally covered with short and dense hair that is otherwise known as pubic hair in female human beings.

Labia Majora :-

  • The outer labia that is, the ones that are sometimes puffy in nature.
  • These generally have the same skin tone as the rest of the body.
  • These are visible from outside.

Labia Minora :-

  • These are the inner labia.
  • These are the ones that are generally pinkish in appearance.
  • These are hidden below the labia majora and hence are not visible from outside.

Clitoris :-

  • This refers to the part on the top junction of the labia majora and the labia minora that appears as a small finger like projection.
  • The clitoris contains corpora cavarnosa that is a spongy erectile tissue  which is also present in penises of males so, erections of the clitoris do exist but aren't as prominently observable due to their small size as compared to a penis.
  • The clitoris is mainly responsible for the exaggeration of sexual excitement in females.
