Meaning of Sol in chemistry:
• A sol is a form of colloid in which particles of solid are put off in a liquid.
• The particles present in a sol are very small enough. The colloidal solution shows the property of the Tyndall effect.
• Sols can be prepared through condensation or dispersion.
• Examples of Sol are blood, pigmented liquid ink, cell fluids, paint, antacids, and also mud.
