What is the meaning of surface area ...

When it is written T.S.A. ...we have to find total surface area
When it’s written C.S.A...we have to find curved surface area

But when it’s just written surface area then what do we have to find ...TSA or CSA??

if it's to find the area of the surface of a hollow cylinder. then u will use CSA means curved surface area. ... when it's asked to find the area of a sheet required to make a cubical or cuboidal box, then u will use TSA. formula for cuboid is 2(lb+bh+lh) and for cube is 6a² and a is the length of the side.
