it's is gmt+ 5:30
Greenwich meantime + 5hrs30min

Indian Standard Time refers to the time of the specific line of longitude that passes almost through the centre of India (Near Allahabad).
The time of this longitude is followed all over India. It is not the same as the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Indian Standard Time (IST) is ahead of the GMT by 5 hours and 30 minutes.
