Natural numbers = 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8
so median of first 8 natural numbers
= ( 4 + 5 ) / 2
= 9 / 2
= 4.5 ( median = middle term )

\fontsize{18}{10}{\textup{\textbf{The median is 4.5.}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

The first eight natural numbers are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Since the number of numbers is 8, which is even, so the median will be the average of middle two numbers.

That is,

\textup{Median}\\\\\\=\dfrac{(\frac{8}{2})th-value+(\frac{8}{2}+1)th-value}{2}\\\\\\=\dfrac{4th-value+5th-value}{2}\\\\\\=\dfrac{4+5}{2}\\\\=4.5.

Thus, the required median is 4.5.
