image distance(v)=-48

object distance(u)=-12

mirror formula

1/v+1/u=1/f

1/-48+1/-12=1/f

-1+(-4)/48=1/f. (by taking LCM)

-5/48=1/f

48/-5=f

-9.6cm=f

hope it helps...

anamika100403: if u find it helpful...do mark it as brainliest
sanjeevmsharma: Thanks alot!!! But may i know why did we take image distance -ve?
anamika100403: because its a concave mirror and in every case except for the last one(when obj. placed b/w P and F) we take v as -ve
anamika100403: hope it helps...
anamika100403: u didn't liked my answer?
sanjeevmsharma: It isn’t allowing me to mark u the brainliest... ur answer was really very helpful
