What is the midpoint of the x-intercepts of f(x) = (x – 2)(x – 4)?

The midpoint of the x-intercepts of f(x) = (x – 2)(x – 4) is very easy to find. You need to find the coordinates first and join them to form the line.

The coordinates are (2,0) & (4,0) .Thus it is pretty obvious that the midpoint of 2 & 4 is 3. Therefore the midpoint of the x-intercepts is (3,0). You can also find it by roughly plotting it on a graph.

It will be better if you refer the image attached below where I've shown the midpoint of the two x-intercepts (2,0) & (4,0).
