What is the minimum space to be allocated to each worker as per the factories act 1948?

14.2 cubic metres or 500 cubic feet.

According to the 16 of the Factories Act, 1948 the minimum  space to be allocated to each worker employed in the factory is 14.2 cubic metres or 500 cubic feet.

As per section 16 (1) No room in any factory shall be overcrowded to an extent injurious to the health of the workers employed therein.
