Hii....low platelet count or thrombocytopenia can occur due to many things and has many causes...
platelets are produced in bone marrow ..if there is a problem in the bone marrow there can occur depletion in platelet count..
it can occur during aplastic anaemia...
it can also occur due to b-12 deficiency or iron deficiency..
low platelet counts also are the case when a person suffers from auto immune disease when the immune system itself destroys the healthy cells of the body which may include platelets
