Given :

P(7,-2) ,Q(-3,-3),

R(2.5,-3),S(-4.5,-2).

To Find :  nature of line which passes through the points

Solution:

P(7,-2) ,Q(-3,-3),

Slope = ( -3 - (-2))/(-3 - 7)

= (-1 )/(-10)

= 1/10

y + 3 = (1/10)(x + 3)

=> 10y + 30 = x + 3

=> x = 10y + 27

R(2.5,-3),S(-4.5,-2).

Slope =  -1/7

y   + 3  = -(1/7)(x  - 5/2)

=> 7y + 21 =  -  x  + 5/2

=>  x  + 7y  + 37/2 = 0

x = 10y + 27

x  + 7y  + 37/2 = 0

y = - 91/34

x = 8/34

Lines PQ & RS are intersecting

P(7,-2) ,S(-4.5,-2)

y coordinate are same hence PS parallels  to x axis

Q(-3,-3),R(2.5,-3),

y coordinate are same hence QR parallels  to x axis
