The claim made by a physical law is the claim made by the corresponding accidental generalization plus the claim that such relations obtain. (2) The apparent difference in meaning between physical laws and accidental generalizations is an illusion. The meaning of the law "All Fs are G's" is exhausted by "(x) (Fx D Gx).
