Food preservation prevents the growth of microorganisms , as well as showing the oxidation of fats that causes rancidity.

there are so many types of methods for preserving food .they are:
1.by adding salt.. eg. fish
2.by drying under the sun light ...eg.fish,fruits,sugar syrup etc..
3.mainly by fermentation method
4.b y adding chili powder,oil etc...i.e pickles
methods of food preservation:
1.smoking.. eg.fish,meat
2.salting
3.canning.
4.drying
5.freezing ..eg. vegetables,leafy vegetables,fruits etcc...
6.mechanical drying ..eg.. green peas,soup,onion,garlic
etc.........
if we don't preserve food items it will be spoil as soon ...as well as it gives bad smell and it changes it colour
without it bacteria ,fungi will be grown and they spoil food......the food will be wasted......when we eat it it will affect us very seriously...we became unhealthy..........we feel I'll
