Number of spaces = 3
Number of spaces for consonants = 2(extreme)
So, number of ways to fill the extreme position = 22P2
= 462
Now, the middle position has to be filled with the 4 vowels (except e)
no. of ways = 4P1
=> 4
Total no. of ways = 462 x 4
= 1848
