North Korea is a ROGUE state sandwiched between South Korea and China. Also, it's immediate maritime neighbour to the east is Japan.

North Korea is a country that has been developing nuclear weapons from quite sometime now. It has accelerated this process of piling up the nuclear weapons in the recent times. Since it is not a signatory to the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty, there is no legal binding on North Korea to put a hault to its nuclear weapon programme. China, which sees South Korea as a potential threat in the region due to the US military base in South Korea, has been helping North Korea significantly to achieve a NUCLEAR DETERRENCE.

United states and it's allies in the region have been vary of the nuclear weapon programme of North Korea. Even though the range of these weapons is not long enough to reach upto the mainland USA, they can cause a significant damage and cast a dark shadow over the security of South Korea and Japan.

United states and other major powers of the world have been dissuading North Korea from developing nuclear weapons any further. To pursue this aim, they have even isolated North Korea from the global common by putting strict economic sanctions on the country.

The growing tensions between the 2 countries, USA and North Korea, has turned the region into a POTENTIAL NUCLEAR FLASHPOINT. Both the nuclear weapon states should practice STRATEGIC RESTRAINT otherwise any escalation of the dispute may see the use of nuclear weapons and the result would be tyranny.

sujith10thclass: why the korea wants to do nuclear tests
immukul15: A nuclear test isn't only an advertisement of nuclear advances and is also means of intimidating enemies and impressing allies. With every trial of a weapon, they learn something new and it also helps in predicting technological paths.
sujith10thclass: thanks for the answer
immukul15: Welcome!
