Given :

moles of oxygen = 0.25

To Find :

number of molecules in 0.25 moles of oxygen

Solution :

1 mole of oxygen contains 6.022 * 10^{23} molecules

0.25 mole of oxygen will contain 6.022 * 10^{23} * 0.25 molecules

                                                    = 1.5055 * 10^{23} molecules.

∴ The number of molecules in 0.25 moles of oxygen is 1.5055 * 10^{23} .

The number of molecules in the 0.25 oxygen molecule is:

  • 0.25 the oxygen molecule contains
  • = 6.022 × 1023 × 0.25
  • = 6.022 × 10 23 × 0.25
  • = 1.505 × 1023
  • = 1.505 × 10 23 molecules.
  • Thus,0.25 oxygen mole contains
  • 1.505 × 1023 1.505 × 10 23 molecules.
  • Number of mole = 1.
  • Atomicity is the number of atoms in a molecule.
  • Atomicity of O2 = 2.
  • So the answer is 12.044 * 10 ^ 23 atoms exist in one O2 mole.
