Some methods to solve this :

1 ) Let x = 296q + 75

   = (37 x 8q + 37 x 2) + 1

   = 37 (8q + 2) + 1

Thus, when the number is divided by 37, the remainder is 1.

2 ) Let the Number be Y.

Then  Y = 296 q + 75

= (37 x 8)q +( 37 x 2) + 1

= 37 (8q + 2) + 1

Thus, when the number is divided by 37, the remainder is 1

3 ) You can solve it in very simple steps. Let the number be x.Therefore x = 296q+75 (q=quotient)Now when you divide the same number by 37 it can be written asx/37 = 296q/37 + 75/37Here 296 is completely divisible by 37 by 8 times so whatever comes out the remainder on dividing 75 by 37 will be final remainder.75÷37 gives 1 as remainder.

Therefore the final remainder when the number is divided by 37 is 1.

4 )
Add 296 and 75 to get 371. This number when divided by 37 gives a quotient of 10 and a remainder of 1.

Add 371 and 296 to get 667. This number when divided by 37 gives a quotient of 18 and a remainder of 1.

Add 667 and 296 to get 963. This number when divided by 37 gives a quotient of 26 and a remainder of 1.

General equation is 296*w + 75, where w is an integer.

The result = 296w/37 + 74+ 1 = (8w +2) as quotient and 1 as remainder.

The answer is 1.

5 )
296 is divisible by 37, so when the number is divided by 37, the remainder should be same (75), but 75 is greater than 37, so we divide 75 by 37 to get the remainder, which is 1.

So, the answer is 1.

Hope This Helps :)

Answer:

Let the number be y .

If we divide it by 296 remainder is 75 and let quotient be x .

i.e- y=296x+75........................Eq−1

Put x=1

So, y=296+75=371

Use it to get our answer…

When we divide 371 by 37 , Quotient is 10 .

Remainder =371−37∗10

=371−370

=1
