The Brahmaputra River, also called Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibetan language, originates on the Angsi Glacier located on the northern side of the Himalayas in Burang County of Tibet.

River Brahmaputra originates from the lake Mansarovar. It moves towards east ,to be called as Sangpo in China,then it moves towards south to enter in Assam ,to be called as, Deehang in Himalayas and Brahmaputra in the plains. When it enters in Bangladesh, it is known as Meghana..
