What is the OXIDATION NUMBER of 'Cl' (NH₄)₂Cl(NO₃)₆ please answer with all steps. i will surely mark the best answer brainliest

please check your compound again. it must be Ce on the place of Cl. because usually oxidation number of chlorine is -1 except few compounds with F and O.

if it is ceric ammonium nitrate, then the oxidation number of Ce is +4

oxidation number of NH4 is +1

oxidation number of NO3 is -1

so 2(+1) +x + 6(-1) = 0

=> 2+x -6 = 0

x = +4
