Answer:

H2S208 known as marshal acid contain one S-O-S bond ,four S=O bond and two -OH bond . So according to molecular formula the equation will be 2*(+1) + 8*(-2) +2*(OXIDATION NO OF S)=0 .So oxidation no. come out according to the equation will be +7 which is wrong. Because sulphur can not extends its oxidation no. upto +7
