Answer:

V = – 3i – j

|V| = √{(– 3)2 + (– a)2} = 5 m/s

KE = (1/2)mv2

= (1/2) × 0.4 × 52

= 5J

Hi,

Work Energy theorem can be used,

Change in K.E= Net Work done

Net work done=P.E

|v|=square root of (2^2)+(4^2)

v=2root5

K.E= 1/2(0.4)(2root5)^2

=4 J

So, P.E=4 J

Hope that helps!☺
