Peculiarity of the ‘DNA’ structure
DNA has a double helical or spiral structure having nucleotides. Nucleotides comprises of phosphoric acid, deoxyribose sugar and nitrogeneous bases like adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine. The nucleotide sequence of the DNA molecule is called a gene. Genes are present on DNA. Changes in the genes can alter the characteristics of any organism.

1) DNA is the double helix structure.
2) the 2 chains are anti parallel polarity.
3) it is Deoxyribonucleic acid.
4) it has adenine , guanine , thymine , cytosine.
5) 2 chain are coiled in right hand fashion.
6) it should generate its replica.
7) complementary bases pair through hydrogen bond..
