GIVEN :-

  • Diameter of semicircle ( d ) = 35 cm.

TO FIND :-

  • The perimeter of the semicircle.

SOLUTION :-

As we know that the perimeter of semicircle is given by,

⇒ Perimeter = πr + 2r

⇒ Perimeter = 22/7 × (d/2) + 2 × (d/2)

⇒ Perimeter = 22/7 × 35/2 + 2 × 35/2

⇒ Perimeter = 22 × 5/2 + 35

⇒ Perimeter = 11 × 5 + 35

⇒ Perimeter = 55 + 35

⇒ Perimeter = 90 cm.

Hence perimeter of the semicircle is 90 cm.

Extra Information :-

⇒ Surface area of a cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + hl)

⇒ Surface area of a cube = 6a²

⇒ Curved surface area of a cylinder = 2πrh

⇒ Total surface area of a cylinder = 2πr(r+h)

⇒ Curved surface area of a cone = πrl

⇒ Total surface area of a right circular = πrl + πr²

⇒ Surface area of a sphere =4πr²

⇒ Curved surface area of a hemisphere = 2πr²

⇒ Total surface area of a hemisphere = 3πr²

⇒ Volume of a cube = a³

⇒ Volume of a cylinder = πr²h

⇒ Volume of a cone = 1/3πr²h

⇒ Volume of a sphere =4/3πr²

⇒ Volume of a hemisphere = 2/3πr²

Answer:

✯ Given :-

  • The diameter of the semicircle is 35 cm.

To Find :-

  • What is the perimeter of the semicircle ?

✯ Formula Used :-

To Find the perimeter of the semicircle we know that,

\sf{\boxed{\bold{\large{\rm{Perimeter\: =\: πr\: +\: 2r}}}}}

✯ Solution :-

Given :-

  • Diameter = 35 cm

To find the radius we know the formula,

R = \dfrac{D}{2}

Radius = 17.5

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\dfrac{22}{7} × 17.5 + 2 × 17.5

55 + 35

90 cm

\therefore The perimeter of the semicircle is \sf\boxed{\bold{\large{90\: cm}}}
