\huge\bold{Given:-}

  • What is the perimeter of following
  • rectangles?

\huge\bold{To \: Find:-}

  • perimeter of the rectangle with length = 25 cm and width = 18 cm.

\huge\bold{Solution:-}

  • {\mathtt{\huge{\underline{METHOD:-}}}}

=>2(Length+Breadth)

  • =>2(L+B)

  • =>2(25+18)cm

  • =>2×43 cm

  • =>86cm

hey mate! This answer is 86 cm.

\huge\bold{To \: Find:-}

  • perimeter of the rectangle with length = 38 cm and width = 19

\huge\bold{Solution:-}

  • {\mathtt{\huge{\underline{METHOD:-}}}}

=>2(L+B)

  • =>2(l+b)

  • =>2(38+38/2)

  • =>2(38+19)

  • =>2×57

  • =>114 cm

hey mate! Perimeter in second case is 114 cm.

\huge\bold{Explanation:-}

  • hey mate! First of all as we know the formula to find the perimeter we will apply it.

  • 2(l+b) means 2×Length+breadth.

Now we know that we need to add length and breadth but why is there 2?

  • hey mate! This 2 is there to make our work easy in calculation.

  • As we know that there are 2 length and breadth so instead of adding them respectively we just added one side of both and then multiplied by 2.

Now in second case you can see that breadth quantity is given as "half of length".

  • Now we know that the length is 38 cm hence half of it can be found by dividing it 38÷2=19.

  • hence breadth is 19.

Hope it helped!

Answer:

FORMULA

Perimeter=2×(l+b)

1. length=25 and breadth=18

=2×(25+18)

=2×43

=86cm(ans)

2. length= 38 and breadth = half of length

= 38 1/2

= 19 cm

perimeter= 2×l+b

= 2×(38+19)

= 2×57

= 124cm(ans)
