■SECOND PERIOD::
●while going from left to right in second period....the no of electrons are getting added...that is one elcetron is getting added....
●for example the atomic number of Li is 3 and Be is 4 and so on.... for lithium the valence electrons is 1 and for Be the valence electrons are 2 and so on...
●so the valency increases ....
■THIRD PERIOD ::
●in third period also the same......
