★lustrous or shiny
★malleable(best in gold & silver)
★ductile(except sodium & potassium)
★generally hard(except sodium & potassium)
mercury is liquid at room temperature
★good conductors of heat and electricity
★high melting and boiling point
★high density (except sodium & potassium)
★sonorous
★silver or gray colour(except copper & gold)

physical properties of non-metal
★found in solid, liquid, gases at room temperature
★neither malleable nor ductile
★do not conduct heat & electricity (except graphite)
★not lustrous(except iodine)
★generally soft(except diamond)
★non sonorous
★many different colour
