Answer:
The Pole Star is the star that is known to retain its position in the sky always. We can locate the position of the Pole Star with the help of the constellation Saptarishi. If an imaginary line is drawn joining the "pointer stars" of the Saptarishi and extended further, it will point to the Pole Star.

Pole Star, also called Polaris, is the brightest star of the constellation Ursa Minor (at the end of the handle little dipper). It is aligned at the axis of rotation of the Earth due to which its apparent position remains fixed in the sky. For this reason it is used by sailors for the purpose of navigation as an indicator of the geographical pole.
- Saptarishi is a constellation of stars
- As the name suggests, it is a group of seven stars (Sapta means 7)
- This group forms a bigger constellation namely, the Ursa Major
- Pole star remains in a fixed position in the sky
- It always points the North direction
- The pole star can be easily located by drawing an imaginary line that joins the pointer stars
- This line if extended further points to the Pole star
