What is the power of a pump which takes 10
seconds to lift 100 kg of water to a water tank situated at a height of
20 m ? (g = 10 m s-2)​

work done = mgh

W = 100 X 10 X 20

Work done = 20000 J

P = Work done/time taken

Power = 20000/10

Therefore, power = 2000 W
