The process by which the ciliary muscles change the focal length of an eye lens to focus distant or near objects clearly on the retina is called the accommodation of the eye. Power of accommodation is given by P = 1/f (in m) = 1/.25 (since f = 25cm for normal eye) = P =100/25 = 4 D

We know that our normal vision length or the focal length of the eye is 25 cm or 0.25 m. Therefore, the Power of accommodation is 4 dioptre, for a human of normal eyesight.
