no. of ball pens packed in one carton = 144

cartons present = 3950

no of ball pen present = 875952

no of cartons required = 875952÷144

= 6083

therefore the factory will require more cartons

6083 - 3950

= 2133

answer : the factory will require 2133 more cartons

Given that, 144 ball pen can be packed in a carton.

So,to find out how many cartons can be packed with 875952 ball pen,we just have to divide 875952 with 144.

 Therefore,875952 ball pen can pack = 875952/144

                                                                 = 6083 cartons

So,now it is clear that the factory needs more carton.

The factory will need (6083-3950) or 2133 more cartons.

Hope it helps!
