electric motor-if we keep a current carrying conductor in a magnetic field then it experiences a force

AC generator -electromagnetic induction ,I.e. if we keep a coil in a varying magnetic field current is induced in it

hope it helps

\bold{PRINCIPLE\:OF\:MOTOR}

Working principle of electric motor: Electric motor works on the principle that when an insulated conductor coil is placed in a magnetic field and the current is passed through it, a force acts on the coil which rotates continuously.

\bold{PRINCIPLE\:OF\:GENERATOR}

An electric generator works on the principle of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction states that “whenever a current carrying conductor are placed in the magnetic field, then a flux is induces in the circuit due to which a current start to flow in the rotor also.
