Principle of the potentiometer :
For a wire having uniform area of cross section and uniform composition,the potential drop is directly proportional to the length of wire. The above principle is valid when potentiometer is used in comparing the EMF of two cells.

the principal of potentiometer is that:fir a wire having uniform area of cross sectionand uniform composition the potential drop is directly propositional to the lenght of wire.the anove principal is valid for potentiometer when s used in comparing emf of two cells.
