What is the probability of getting two heads when three coins are tossed simultaneously?

Anonymous: You need probability for exactly two heads or atleast two heads?
harshithay: exactly two heads.... :
harshithay: :)
Anonymous: Then 3/8 is the right one.
harshithay: yea...thnx
siddharth20: Yeah then I would also agree that its 3/8

Possible number of outcomes is 2³=8. Favourable outcomes are 3. Probability is 3/8

H = head
T = tail
so sample space = {HHH,HHT,HTH,HTT,THH,THT,TTH,TTT}

SO TOTAL OUTCOMES = 8
SO TOTAL EVENT = 3

SO PROBABILITY = NO OF POSSIBLE EVENTS /TOTAL OUTCOMES
                               = 3/8
