SOLUTION :

Given : Numbers are from 3 to 9

Total Numbers = 9 - 3 + 1 = 7 (both 3 & 9 included)

Total number of outcomes = 7

Let E = Event of getting a multiple of 4

Numbers which are a multiple of 4 are : 4 , 8

Number of outcome favourable to E = 2

Probability (E) = Number of favourable outcomes / Total number of outcomes

P(E) = 2/7

Hence, the required probability of getting a multiple of 4,  P(E) = 2/7
