The problem is that it affects the rich diversity of India. When it is Hindu period many Muslim emperors are also there. At the time of Muslim period many Hindu rulers are there. Similarly at the time of British period many Hindu and Muslim emperors are there.

James Bill has put Indian History into three periods – Hindu, Muslim and British, claiming that it was necessary to introduce European manners, arts, institutions and laws in India.
