Good evening...
Here is ur answer....,
Rearing of silk from silk moth - silk moth is a large, white insect . A female silk moth lays hundreds of eggs which are stored at a suitable temperature. These eggs hatch to produce larvae which is also called caterpillars or silkworms . These larvae are kept in clean boxes where they feed on mulberry leave for 25-30 days and grow in size. The caterpillar then secret a liquid. This liquid hardens on coming in contact with air and change into a fine thread which is made up of protein. The caterpillar covers itself completely with these fibers . This covering is called cacoon . The silkworms delvelps into a silk moth inside the caccon .
Then the cacoons are collected and exposed to steam . The silk fibres then separate out from cacoons . This process is also known as reeling .
Then the silk fibres are dyed in different colours this process is known as dyeing.
Then the silk fibres are then spun into threads which are woven into silk clothes this process is also called spinning and weaving .
