Normal pulse rate in healthy adult person - 72 times/min. (average)

It's normal range is 60 - 80 times per minute.

Pulse rate is actually a heart rate which is measured by radial artery. It depends upon physical conditions.

Pulse rate tell about heart beat. High pulse rate means increased heart beat and low pulse rate means decreased heart beat. Both conditions may depend upon certain disorders, physical activities and emotional feelings also.

It can be checked on wrist and neck also.

To find pulse rate on wrist, put two fingers near the wrist where bone and tendon present. By putting the fingers one can feel a sensation of beat on radial artery. This beat can be counted with respect to time. That beat per minute will be considered as Pulse rate.
