The human stomach requires an acidic medium. The Hydrochloric Acid secreted lowers the pH to the range of 1.5-3.5
The small intestines, though have a pH that increases from about 6 to 7.4 in the terminal ileum. The pH changes to 5.7 in the caecum but it again increases to 6.7 in the rectum.
