The current cheif minister of Tamil Nadu after the death of Jayalalitha is Palani Swami. He took control of the office on February 16, 2017 after the death of Jayalalitha on 5th December 2016. His full name is Edappadi K Palaniswami. He is the MLA for eddapadi.
