What is the ratio of the squares with side's measuring 4cm and 6cm , respectively ?​

I'm guessing it is the ratio of the area of the squares, so here...

let first square= square_{1}  

and second square= square_{2}

ar(square_{1})= 4^{2}= 16 sq.cm

ar(square_{2})= 6^{2}= 36 sq.cm

∴ The ratio= \frac{16}{36}=  \frac{4}{9}
