What is the reaction when plaster of paris heated over temperature of 373k?

If you heat it to slightly above 212 deg F, the water of crystallization is driven off leaving a powder - Plaster of Paris is this powder with water added. Heat is produced by the reaction. Plaster board, or sheet rock is made from Gypsum, as are casts to immobilize broken limbs. Plaster of Paris finds many uses by artists and architects.
