The movement of air is caused due to the pressure possessed by the air. In other words, we can say that the movement of the air is a result of the temperature difference between the air on the surface of the earth and the air much above the surface of the earth.
The hot air is lighter and ,hence, moves up while the cold air is heavier than the hot air and ,hence, travels down on the surface of the earth the air on the surface again heats up and goes up. As a result, the air moves.
