What is the reason of agitation raised against constructions of dams?

➡️One reason can be that through the construction of dam the people living near the river loose their homes. Dams are physical structures that are constructed over rivers for the purpose of storage. They also act as barriers and create reservoirs. The reservoirs are used to irrigate fields and also stop flooding.
