The given characters are a part if "In a Doll's House".

Here it was shown that Mrs Linde was a very good friend and quite a very old friend of Nora Helmer.

She returned back after a very long span of ten years and the incident of her coming back is even not a very happy one as we soon come to know that she had lost her husband.

So she came up to her old friend now so that she could ask for some help from her or at least arrange for some suitable position in bank from another character named "Torvald" at the bank as she is in a very bad financial condition now and wanted to help her brothers and overall family.

However this also served as the turning point of Nora's character.

Christine Linde acts as a dramatic foil here.

Nora realized how she had been irresponsible towards her dying father, while how responsible her childhood friend i.e. Linde was.

So she decides to change after being reawakened.
