VELOCITY : Distance travelled per unit time in a given direction is called velocity . The displacement per unit time also called velocity. It is vector quantity and S.I unit is m/s. The value of velocity may be positive negative or 0.

Relation between pressure, velocity and area. In a nozzle, the exit velocity increases as per continuity equation Av=const as given by Bernoulli equation incompressible fluid.Pressure is inversely proportional tovelocity, so we have lower pressure at the exit of the nozzle
