the constitution has provided fundamental rights to people to live in a way which they want, it has also given us fundamental duties. These fundamental duties are guidelines to realize the dreams of a peaceful and prosperous country.

As relevant as the spine in your body. The constitution is technically the supreme rule book for the administration to depend upon.
During a time of crisis, especially a political one causing a government paralysis for example if no party is not able to cobble up a majority and the prime minister is to be appointed. According to the constitution, the president can appoint the Prime Minister and appoint the cabinet on his advice.
So constitution is the light at the end of the tunnel. There will be more troubling times in the near future, where the very spirit of democracy would be tested and Constitution would be one worthy defender.
