In the horror novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde the ending resolution was that Mr. Hyde died.
EXPLANATION:
Utterson ordered his men to look inside the laboratory. The door was closed. He asked his men to break the door. When the men got inside they found Mr. Hyde’s dead body lying on floor.
It looks like he was poisoned. The men then searched the entire laboratory and found an envelope. It was left by Dr. Jekyll and contains three items. All were suspicious that if Mr. Hyde died by suicide or Jekyll killed him.
