There will be no reaction if Co2 is reacted to Na2Co3..

georgeabm: are u sure
Triyan: yes 101%
georgeabm: okay fine
Triyan: when co2 is reacted with NaOH then there would be reaction
georgeabm: but when sodium bicarbonate and co2 is mixed, what does it form
georgeabm: my teacher asked so
Triyan: Na2Co3 and NaHCo3 shows no reaction when Co2 is mixed..
Triyan: maybe she is trying to test your skills...
georgeabm: thanks to triyan
Triyan: your most welcome!!!

Explanation:

The reaction is: 2 NaOH (s) + CO2 (g) →Na2CO3 (aq) + H2O (l) This means that solid reagent grade sodium hydroxide is not pure enough to weigh and use directly. ... This reaction also takes place in the aqueous phase, where sodium hydroxide in solution reacts with CO2 from the air to form sodium carbonate.
